Tommy Bowden's ouster may sway recruits


Xavier Nixon, the top-ranked offensive lineman in the country, has shown more interest in N.C. State and North Carolina in recent weeks. Clemson has commitments from two North Carolina high school players -- fullback Tyler Shatley of East Burke and wide receiver Larry Raper of Shelby. Meanwhile, Clemson recruit DeVonte Holloman, considered to be one of the top high school safeties in the country, has withdrawn his commitment and says he wants to look at UNC. (Blue Ridge Now)
