UNC grows athletics budget to $61M; NCSU at $46M


At a time when an economic slump is battering many businesses, UNC-Chapel Hill’s athletics department expects to post a whopping 12 percent surge in revenue this school year. Athletics Director Dick Baddour believes his budget projections will hold up well because of strong ticket and advertising sales heading into the football and basketball seasons. Long term, though, he’s worried about fundraising for scholarships and facilities. (Triangle Business Journal)
