The Big Ten race seems simple to decipher next to the ACC. A trio of two-loss teams vies for the lead in each division. North Carolina may be playing the best of them all. But the Tar Heels will not reach the ACC title game unless someone beats Virginia Tech for them. Carolina remains haunted by its three-point home loss to the Hokies Sept. 20, a game the Heels led by 14 in the third quarter. In that respect, UNC and Southern California have much in common.
