UNC women's soccer to face Illini

The UNC women's soccer team didn't make it past the third round last year, and that's the hurdle that the University of Illinois represents in today's match at 5:30 pm at Fetzer Field. This time, UNC won't have to face rival Notre Dame, which not only knocked them out of the playoffs last year, but followed that up with a 1-0 victory on Sept. 5 in Chapel Hill. If the Tar Heels do get another crack at the No. 1 Irish, it will be in the title match at Cary's WakeMed Soccer Park. (Raleigh News & Observer)
