West Virginia accepts Meineke Bowl bid


West Virginia accepted a bid Saturday to play in the Meineke Bowl for the second time. The Mountaineers will probably face North Carolina on Dec. 27 at Bank of America Stadium. Bowl officials are confident the Tar Heels will fall their way once the ACC formalizes its bowl bids on Sunday afternoon. Meineke Bowl executive director Will Webb offered West Virginia a spot in the bowl moments after the Mountaineers beat South Florida 13-7 Saturday. (CBS Sportsline)
