Tar Heel Women pummel Western Michigan

Italee Lucas scored 17 points and Jessica Breland added 15 to lead five Tar Heels in double figures and help No. 2 North Carolina shake off the rust of an eight-day layoff with a 102-55 win Sunday over Western Michigan. She'la White had 12 points, including a layup with 1:03 to play that put the Tar Heels over 100 for the third time this season. Heather Claytor chipped in 11 points and Cetera DeGraffenreid 10 for North Carolina (13-0).
