John Bunting Mailbag: Recruiting Tales, Part I
Posted Jan 24, 2009
One of my favorite great stories was the recruitment of Isaiah “Puff” Thomas, a lineman over at Carver High School in Winston-Salem. He was probably the No. 2 or No. 3 prospect in state of North Carolina. It was between us and Tennessee, Virginia Tech and N.C. State. To win over those three would be huge for UNC. So we pulled out all the stops.
