Boston College hires Gary Tranquill as new Offensive Coordinator

Boston College football coach Frank Spaziani returned from a recruiting trip this morning and immediately began working on completing his staff. And when the day had turned into night, Spaziani, according to sources close to the program had chosen Tranquill as his next offensive coordinator. Tranquill was the coach at Navy for for five seasons, from 1982 until 1986. He had other stints on college jobs most recently at North Carolina before he "retired."
