Yow's funeral draws many friends, family

Those who studied under her or coached against her always marveled about the preparation of Kay Yow. So it was fitting to learn on Friday that Yow had planned almost every detail of her memorial service -- perhaps even down to the main sanctuary of the Colonial Baptist Church where basketball hoops were raised to the ceilings.
