Florida, Auburn offer Ryan Ayers


South Paulding cornerback Ryan Ayers, who some recruiters call “the state’s fastest player,” picked up three significant offers in the past week, according to his coach.

Coach Tim Glanton said that Auburn defensive coordinator Ted Roof called Friday to with an offer, followed by Florida running backs coach Kenny Carter on Monday and Maryland offensive line coach Tom Brattan on Tuesday.

Ayers, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior has other offers from Georgia Tech, UGA, Arkansas, Duke, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt. Ayers has been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.31 seconds. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
