Heels Have Champion’s Fiber
Posted Mar 10, 2009
North Carolina is a terrific fast-break team, but it won’t win the national championship by beating opponents down the floor. Running will be there after opponents’ misses. But by the time the Tar Heels get to Detroit – if they advance to the Final Four – they must be able to execute against various half-court defenses. The Heels will have to check their egos at the door, just like they did in Sunday’s 79-71 victory over Duke at the Smith Center.
