After I finished up at North Carolina — and I had a great experience, playing football, winning an ACC championship — I went into the family business. My father owned three retail stores selling Goodyear Tires and GE Appliances, and after he passed away my brothers took over the business and gave me an opportunity to join them after I graduated, and I did that for a year. But I found that I really missed the sports world.
