Shawn Christian scored 21 points in the second half, including eight in less than two minutes, to lead the Mustangs past the Panthers, 67-63, in the VHSL Group A, Division 1 semifinals Thursday at VCU’s Siegel Center.

Hunter Simpson scored 26 points and Josh Smith added 19 points and 13 rebounds for Twin Valley, which never trailed until Christian’s three-point play gave Eastern Montgomery (23-5) a 49-48 lead with 10 seconds remaining in the third period. (Bristol Herald Courier)
