Coach: Trimming down talent a tough job

N.C. Shrine Bowl coach Jim Oddo of Charlotte Catholic High says he has difficult job in picking this year's team. This is a strong year for N.C. seniors and Oddo will have to pick fewer than 50 players to play on the N.C. team from about 900 who will audition. Coaches seemed pleased with some players like Southern Durham's Tony Creecy, a major ACC recruit at wide receiver, pulling them aside to ask for extra information. Creecy's two sub-4.6 40 times on a warm day turned some heads. (Charlotte Observer)
