UNCW, UNC baseball teams share history

Bobby Guthrie and Mark Scalf – UNC-Wilmington’s previous and current head coaches – have been on both sides of the Seahawks-North Carolina Tar Heels’ baseball rivalry. While the schools prepared to play at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Chapel Hill, Guthrie and Scalf reflected on the series. Scalf is a former Seahawks’ player, assistant coach and graduate assistant at North Carolina in 1982. Guthrie is an ex-Tar Heels player.
