Redshirt freshman Jamal Womble impressed the coaching staff with his work on the scout team last year. Womble then displayed more of his skills this spring as he played himself into some serious consideration to see action along with Shaun Draughn and Ryan Houston at tailback next fall. “He runs physical and he’s got the ability to make people miss in the hole,’’ UNC coach Butch Davis said. “He can also catch the ball out of the backfield.’’
