The Sporting News top 100 football prospects for 2010

When the microphones and cameras are turned off, recruiting “experts” openly admit that there isn’t an exact science to choosing the top high school football players in the nation. Coaches share opinions and game film offers evidence, but it’s wildly subjective.
We’re ready to join the fun. Today, Sporting News unveils its top 100 players in the 2010 class. Some of the players on this inaugural SN100 list are common names to those who follow football recruiting—but not all.
