Gillheeney handcuffs Tar Heels

It was the top of the seventh inning. N.C. State pitcher Jimmy Gillheeney had given up a single and two walks to No. 1 North Carolina. With two outs, the bases were loaded and the Wolfpack's 3-0 lead was in jeopardy. As Mark Fleury stepped to the plate, Gillheeney prepared. Two balls and three strikes later, the inning was over. And so was Gillheeney's impressive showing. (Raleigh News & Observer)
