Prospect arrives to try and write a big ending

As Freud never quite said, but probably wished he had, sometimes a roster transaction is just a roster transaction. Yesterday’s roster transaction involving Daniel Bard was anything but ordinary. It’s not just the 100-mph readings Bard has been registering since last summer that have the Red Sox [team stats] and much of the baseball world giddy about the 23-year-old right-hander.
