UNC's John Montgomery honored


North Carolina senior associate athletics director John Montgomery has been voted the national fundraiser of the year by the National Association of Athletic Development Directors. Montgomery is executive director of the Rams Club athletics booster group, which raised $250 million as part of the $2.4 billion university-wide Carolina First Campaign that ended in 2007. During Montgomery's eight-year tenure, club membership has grown to 15,500. (Raleigh News & Observer)
