In case you missed it in the N.C. Senate, UNC fan Tony Rand, the majority leader from Cumberland County, got in a few digs at Duke in his resolution April 28 praising the Tar Heels’ national championship in basketball. Buried among the “whereas” this and “whereas” that was this line: “Whereas, the 89-72 Carolina win over Michigan State was a convincing and thorough victory but one that left intact Duke's record for the worst loss in Final Four history.…”
