Pirates can pitch a little, too

Much praise has been rightfully lobbed at UNC's pitching staff, which has accumulated the sixth-best ERA in the nation (3.66). But East Carolina's pitchers are no slouches, either. ECU's staff ERA (4.36) ranks 25th in the nation. And for Pirates pitching coach Bill Jarman, there is some relief in knowing that, barring extra innings, the staff has a maximum of 27 innings to worry about this weekend against the Tar Heels.
