The Tar Heels tied a College World Series record with 23 base hits, matching Arizona State (June 5, 1984 and June 10, 1988) and Southern California (June 6, 1998). Carolina's 23 hits are a season best and rank as the most by the Tar Heels since posting 26 against Davidson April 28, 2007. UNC has posted 10 or more hits in 12 of the last 13 games, including all seven NCAA Tournament contests.
