Minutes after a 10-6 loss to Texas in Tuesday's College World Series game, Arizona State's Mike Leake did what a lot of shell-shocked pitching aces do at the college level. The Cincinnati Reds' first-round draft pick went straight to Sun Devils coach Pat Murphy and offered to jeopardize a multi-million dollar pro career by volunteering "to pitch tomorrow" against North Carolina. "I said 'Mike, we don't play tomorrow [Wednesday]'," Murphy told reporters at the Omaha, Neb. games.
