Tar Heels Fall Short Versus Sun Devils

Left fielder Kole Calhoun went 2-for-3 with six RBI and Arizona State rolled to a 12-5 victory over North Carolina before a sellout crowd of 25,001 Thursday evening at Rosenblatt Stadium. The Sun Devils will meet top-seeded Texas on Friday at 6 p.m. CT. The Tar Heels, who were playing in their eighth CWS, finish the NCAA Tournament 6-2 and finish the season 48-18.
