Jason Capel joins staff at App State

New Appalachian State men's basketball coach Buzz Peterson has completed his staff by hiring two assistants, including former North Carolina player Jason Capel. Jamie Kachmarik, who had worked under Peterson at Coastal Carolina, was also hired on Tuesday. It marks Capel's first coaching job. He was a two-time all-league selection in the Atlantic Coast Conference and helped the Tar Heels reach the 2000 Final Four. (Burlington Times News)
