Sam Perkins recalls his own "Friday Night Lights"


After leaving Shaker in 1979, went on to a storied career with North Carolina and the NBA. He won a national title with the Tar Heels, and a gold medal in 1984 for the USA. Yet he still talks about going on the road to play at Burnt Hills or Mohonasen or Scotia. The dude played with , and there he is with a genuine smile recalling the days he calls his own "Friday Night Lights." "I can't really forget them," Perkins said.
