Marlins send down struggling Miller

Based on how he's thrown in his last two starts, the news didn't completely surprise Marlins left-hander Andrew Miller. After the Marlins beat the Padres, 3-2, on Monday night at PETCO Park, the team announced Miller was being optioned to Triple-A New Orleans. For the short term, Miller's rotation spot will be filled by right-hander Rick VandenHurk, the winning pitcher on Monday. (MLB.com)
