Philadelphia DT Sharrif Floyd making up for a late start

Look at Sharrif Floyd and he looks like your typical football player, but not your typical high school football player. With his size (6-3/309) you might think he is in the NFL. With the maturity that he projects in the way he handles questions, he gives you the impression he is far older than he is. Growing up on Philadelphia's mean streets has a way of knocking the child out of young men. He has a 3.0-grade-point-average. He lists his leading candidates as Florida, Miami, South Carolina, North Carolina, Boston College, Rutgers and Ohio State. (Orlando Sentinel)
