Kevin Bryant off UNC team

Sophomore Kevin Bryant is no longer with the North Carolina football program, team spokesman Kevin Best said Wednesday. Bryant, a backup offensive lineman from Hollywood, Fla., failed to report to practice when it began on Aug. 7 and missed the first six days of training camp. According to Durham court records, Bryant was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female on July 1. He has a court date set for Aug. 26. (Raleigh News & Observer)
