Time running out for first-round pick Jacob Turner to sign with Tigers

Jacob Turner has until the end of the day Monday to sign with the Detroit Tigers, or the first-round pick instead will pitch for the University of North Carolina next year. The Tigers selected the right-handed pitcher from Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis with the ninth pick of the first round in the amateur draft June 9. A Baseball America blog item this month said he is seeking "Rick Porcello money." (MLive.com)
