Former Tar Heel Bob Trott coaching Virginia linebackers

Bob Trott’s return to the college ranks appeared unique. “I am from North Carolina and I am from the ACC so it was like coming home for me,” said Trott, who graduated from UNC in 1976 and played for the Tar Heels as a safety. “I have enjoyed being back at the college level. I have always liked college football and I have bounced back and forth.” Life in the NFL as an assistant coach, Trott pointed out, is not as glamorous as it may appear on television.
