Captain Peppers has teammates respect

Rarely does it grab headlines when NFL teams select their captains for the season. But when your captain is a guy who publicly announced he didn’t want to play for your team a few months earlier, the selection does raise an eyebrow or two. Such is the case with defensive end Julius Peppers, who was selected by his teammates as a team captain for the second straight season along with Jake Delhomme, Jordan Gross, Jon Beason and John Kasay.
