WR Shakim Phillips commits to Boston College

Shakim Phillips, a wide receiver and cornerback and one of the finest athletes ever to come out of DePaul High in Wayne, has made a verbal commitment to attend Boston College. Phillips is the top recruit in New Jersey, the No. 5-ranked wide receiver and the 37th-best senior overall in the country, according to rivals.com. "It was among Boston College, Rutgers, North Carolina and Pittsburgh,'' Phillips, a 6-2, 195-pounder said.
