Consider now the North Carolina defense, which allowed just 254 yards of total offense to Virginia. Carolina gave up 16 points on three field goals and a late touchdown. That ought to be enough to beat an 0-3 team with a home loss to William & Mary. But the Tar Heel offense hasn't held up its end of the deal. For the third out of the last four games, the Tar Heels failed to score in the first half.
