Countdown to Kickoff: UNC vs. VT

North Carolina (4-3, 0-3 ACC) enters Thursday night’s contest as a 16.5-point underdog against the Hokies (5-2, 3-1 ACC), but recent encounters suggest this game may wind up being closer than the spread would indicate. Virginia Tech has won five straight against UNC, rallying from a 14-point deficit in ‘08 to post a 20-17 victory in Chapel Hill after holding on for a 17-10 win in Blacksburg back in ‘07.
