Tar Heels hope to be up to speed fast for basketball opener

There’s an urge for UNC men’s basketball coach Roy Williams to put it on fast forward. That’s because there’s lots for his sixth-ranked Tar Heels to learn in a relative short amount of time considering the roster overhaul entering the season, which begins Monday night. “You want to speed things up,” Williams said. “We could have done it last year. … (This year’s players) can only learn things at a certain speed.”
