Suspect Charged in Eve Carson's Shooting Death

Demario James Atwater, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in the UNC student leader's slaying. Durham police detained him Wednesday morning and turned him over to Chapel Hill police, who were questioning him Wednesday, sources tell WRAL. The man was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill for treatment of an undisclosed ailment Wednesday before being returned to the Chapel Hill Police Department, sources said. (WRAL.com)
