Tar Heel women's soccer dispatches Terrapins


Playing each other Saturday for the third time this month, third-ranked North Carolina and No. 19 Maryland met in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA women's soccer tournament. And for the third time, the Tar Heels left the pitch with a shutout. With the 1-0 victory, North Carolina (20-3-1) advances to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament for the 26th time in 28 seasons. (Charlotte Observer)
