As the parents of “a high-achieving pretty coed in a college town” the Mizzus and I debate how to discuss this tragedy with "Kid". She knows about it of course. She has a friend at Auburn so she knows about that one too. Do we hammer about “being careful” and make her promise to never let her guard down for a second? Should the reality of “there really are bad people in this world” dominate her every thought and action? As an Internet Legend I know I’m suppose to tell you all the whys and hows of this world.
