Pitt's Mason auditions for bigger role
Posted Dec 23, 2009
For Pitt freshman Dan Mason, next season begins Saturday when the Panthers (9-3) face North Carolina (8-4) in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. It's a chance for Mason to audition for a starring role on the Pitt defense — one he's likely to inherit from senior middle linebacker Adam Gunn. It's his chance, too, at redemption. "This is really an important game for me," Mason said after last Saturday's practice.
