North Carolina (8-4) will take on No. 17/16 Pittsburgh (9-3) in the Tar Heels' second straight year in the Meineke Car Care Bowl in Charlotte. This is Carolina's second straight season of bowl eligibility. Carolina has not gone to back-to-back bowls since making seven straight bowl games from 1992-98. This is Carolina's 27th bowl game in its history and the third in Charlotte; all three have come in the last six seasons.
