Where the Tar Heels reign

UNC's success in the ACC women's basketball tournament has become a given. The Tar Heels have won the past three championships. They lost in the final in 2003 and '04, and won the title in '02. That's six straight years in the title game. North Carolina is the top seed at the tournament that begins today at Greensboro Coliseum. The Tar Heels, No. 2 nationally, will play today's N.C. State-Clemson winner at 3 p.m. Friday. (Charlotte Observer)
