I had a chance to speak to a local group of young boys in Fort Dodge from Athletics for Education and Success, directed by Charles Clayton, about the importance of having good grades and playing basketball. It all came down to the simple fact that school and basketball are a marriage; you can’t have one without the other. It was nice to be able to share my experiences and hopefully provide something meaningful for those kids to dwell on in their lives.
