Even UNC cannot avoid one of the instant byproducts of losing games: lower attendance. An announced crowd of 15,779 fans meandered into the Smith Center on Wednesday to witness the Heels’ lose to Florida State – their seventh loss in eight games. From a first-person account, that final attendance tally is a generous estimate. This is a school that usually fills its 21,000-plus seat arena – even for its Late Night with Roy scrimmage.
