ACC women: Tar Heels take early exit


The North Carolina women’s basketball team will have plenty of time for campaigning. No more games for the next week-plus. The eighth-seeded Tar Heels were knocked out of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament with an 83-77 first-round loss to ninth-seeded Maryland on Thursday afternoon at the Greensboro Coliseum.
