Getting into NIT a relief for Roy Williams

To state the obvious, playing in the NIT is a huge disappointment for North Carolina. But shortly after 9 o'clock Sunday night, as the tournament's selection show rolled on, Tar Heels coach Roy Williams found himself preparing for the worst: No bid at all. "We practiced last night and the entire team was in the locker room watching TV," Williams said. (Daily Press)
