Area women's teams have diverse NCAA destinations

North Carolina, which was sweating out whether it would receive an at-large bid, is the No. 10 seed in the Sacramento Region and headed to Seattle for a first-round matchup against nearby Gonzaga, the No. 7 seed. North Carolina (19-11) and West Coast Conference champion Gonzaga (27-4) will square off Saturday, with the winner facing second-seeded Texas A&M or 15th-seeded Portland State.
