Austin Rivers adds North Carolina to his list
Posted Mar 31, 2010
North Carolina has entered the picture in the recruitment of Winter Park’s junior basketball star, Austin Rivers. Tar Heels coach Roy Williams watched Rivers in a Wildcats practice last Thursday as his team prepared for this weekend’s ESPN Rise National High School Invitational. NCAA rules prohibited a face-to-face conversation but Williams has made it clear to the family that the Tar Heels are interested in Rivers, who averaged 23.9 points for Winter Park’s Class 6A state title team.
