Harrison Barnes steps onto the biggest stage

Photographs of Harrison Barnes show him grinning broadly in hundreds of newspapers, online videos and basketball-worshiping Web sites. He’s mingling with the nation’s best this week at the McDonald’s All-American Games while being watched by former NBA great Larry Bird and at least a dozen pro scouts. Ames’ Barnes, who is regarded by most as the country’s top senior, is in the national spotlight. ESPN cameras follow his baskets and bounce passes.
